Problems with overheating rear brakes forced me to experiment with new friction material Pagid RSL19.
Ferodo DS2500 has got optimal temperature about 300-500°C (friction coefficient about 0.42) with short burst of 700°C but I’ve found out once friction material is already burnt it never brakes as before.
I’ve contacted Mike from VAGbremtechnic what has he got for my car. Checking out Pagid RSL19 brake pad white paper…looked good and I ordered.
Pagid RSL19 has got same friction coefficient around 0.42 from 300-500°C and it doesn’t drop so quickly up to 700°C as Ferodo D2500.
It really brakes better than Ferodo DS2500. Used on same ATE Powerdiscs discs with higher carbon content and slots for cleaning brake pads.
