I have spent over 100 hours by looking for all maps in Hilda’s ECU. I have studied all possible guides on Internet. Manual map seeking is great fan but you still don’t know what is what – I guess that is reason why so many cars are screwed up by chiptuners.
SUMMARY
- I have found many calibration maps but in most cases I have no idea what they mean
- Basic maps are easy to spot but do you know what 30 Pedal maps are for?
- In first kamikaze version I have increased torque limiter from 2000-2500rpm
- I have interpolated all calibration maps over factory optimal values
- I have issues at partial load where engine is not smooth as it suppose to be
- I am not happy with fuel limiting
- injector duration and SOI create excessive EGT
Changes
- MAP based smoke limiter interpolated for 70+ mg IQ
- SOI maps corrected but I have no idea where SOI switch is and how injector duration maps are selected
- I met a guy on Ecuconnections who helped me with “optimal” remap
Vision
- I want a flat torque curve from 2000 to 3000 rpm
- Mr. Cimbu has exactly what I want to achieve
- I want to avoid kamikaze remaps with usual boost spike tuned by amateurs
